St Nicholas’ Day gifts that keep on playing
On the evening of 5 December, children in Germany put their boots outside the door, and on St Nicholas’ morning there is something inside. A finger puppet or small hand puppet fits in and is still being played with long after the nuts have been eaten.
What fits in a St Nicholas’ boot
Finger puppets and small hand puppets fit in a boot and are ready to play with straight away. If you are buying for several children, you will find animals from the same series, so every child gets their own character and they can all play together.
Father Christmas, reindeer and snowman
For many children, St Nicholas’ Day is when the countdown to Christmas really begins. Father Christmas, a reindeer and a snowman as hand puppets set the mood: Father Christmas can talk about everything he still has to prepare before Christmas Eve, and the reindeer can reveal where the journey goes next. At nursery, characters like these accompany the weeks of Advent until Christmas.
Small gifts for nurseries and schools
Nursery staff and teachers often look for a small gift for every child in the group on St Nicholas’ Day. Our finger puppets come in many different animals, so every child can have a different one.
We’re happy to answer your questions by phone or through our contact form. Nurseries, schools, medical and therapy practices and care homes can also order on invoice; this payment option is activated once we have checked the customer account.
