This incredibly soft Mommy Dutch rabbit feels like a real bunny. With cream and coffee-coloured markings and the design of the ears and haunches, she looks like she could hop off at any moment. She has to be held to be believed. Ultra hugable.
Wild rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) are formidable diggers. In loose, sandy ground they build branching tunnel systems that reach three metres down and can run up to 45 metres in length. The multiple entrances are no accident: if a predator enters one tunnel, the rabbit leaves the warren by another. Further in, the tunnels widen into chambers with room for several animals. Later generations extend the existing system instead of starting afresh, so a warren can grow for decades.
Did you know that the Dutch rabbit, known for its distinctive colour markings, is one of the oldest and most popular rabbit breeds for pets? Originating in England, this breed is especially favored by children for its friendly and docile nature.
