Folkmanis cottontail rabbit is super soft. It sits alert with ears perked, front paws and mouth are movable on this life-like rabbit.
Cottontails (genus Sylvilagus) live across North and Central America, along woodland edges and in scrub, meadows and gardens. Unlike the European rabbit they dig no burrows; the young are placed in a shallow hollow lined with grass and belly fur. Their diet shifts with the seasons, from grasses and herbs in summer to bark, buds and twigs in winter. Eyes set high on the sides of the head give them a field of view of almost 360 degrees. When a fox closes in they rely on tight turns rather than long-distance running.
Did you know that the white tail the cottontail is named after only shows once the animal runs? Sitting still, it keeps nothing but its brown back turned to the world. In flight the raised tail flashes with every bound and warns every other rabbit within sight. Slip under a bush, and the pale spot is gone in an instant.
