Hand puppets as a Christmas present
A hand puppet quickly joins in the fun at Christmas: children give it a name and a voice, adults play along, and the first little puppet show often takes place right under the Christmas tree.
Finding the right hand puppet
For toddlers there are soft hand puppets that are suitable for the very youngest; the age recommendation is shown on each product. Nursery children love animals and characters with a movable mouth. If you like to perform yourself, stage puppets or Punch and Judy puppets for a puppet show are the natural choice.
Folkmanis, Living Puppets and The Puppet Company
Folkmanis designs animals that stay close to the real thing, Living Puppets is known for characters with expressive faces, and The Puppet Company offers many animals as both hand and finger puppets. Add to that Punch and Judy puppets by munabo for a classic puppet show.
Presents for the whole group
Nurseries and schools often order a new character for the play corner at Christmas, or animals for the nativity play such as a donkey, a sheep and a camel. Characters from the same series match in size and style.
