Description
Elias is an adorable newborn which is designed to promote an intensive eye contact. Just as with real newborns, the head must be supported when lifting and carrying them.
The body is comfortably soft and filled with different materials. This gives him a very natural body language that brings out the caring instinct in children and adults alike. Small details have been thought through too: his mouth is slightly open, for example, so he can suck his thumb. Elias has a belly button and realistically modelled sexual characteristics. He was designed by the Swedish designer Britt-Marie Egedius-Jakobsson, who invented Joyk empathy dolls. As an anatomically correct newborn, Elias makes it easy to talk with children about how boys and girls differ.
The nice outfits are easy to put on and take off. With Human Touch. Therapy dolls with Human Touch have a pocket on their body. This pocket can be used for storing sensory stimulating accessories which makes them appear even more human. Furthermore, it helps to strengthen the emotional ties.
Sachets with herbs, spices or a familiar perfume work well, for example. In addition, there is a special module simulating the heartbeat of the empathy doll. This makes the doll feel even more lifelike when it is held, in therapy and in care settings alike.
Elias features in PEKiP parent-and-baby groups and in occupational therapy, and nursery practitioners can use him to show children how to hold a newborn properly.
The doll Elias is supplied with the clothing shown on the picture (design of clothing can change). The fingers of the doll are different from the picture and not individually movable.
Material: The body of this Joyk empathy doll is made of elastic, easy-care and skin-friendly stretch fabric
Warning! Choking hazard. Small parts and long haired fibre may cause choking if swallowed. To be used under the direct supervision of an adult.
