Punch and Judy stories on CD, part 2 by Sterntaler (german)

Eight radio plays around Punch that carry on afterwards on your own stage: Punch and Judy stories on CD, part 2 by Sterntaler names the figures each story needs. With the matching hand puppets at hand, the piece moves straight from the CD player onto the puppet stage – in your own voices, and with a different ending whenever you like.

Please note: every story on this CD is spoken in German. This is a German-language production without an English soundtrack. It suits German-speaking households, bilingual families and anyone using the disc for German lessons or language practice.

The stories follow Punch and Gretel, a policeman who has misplaced his manners, a robber who does not quite mean it and a witch who takes offence rather quickly. In nurseries and primary schools the short scenes are useful material: each one supplies a plot while leaving room for the children’s own ideas.

The lists name the protagonists of each story, not a particular article. Casting is entirely up to you: any suitable hand puppet can take a part, whatever the brand, and a narrator covers whatever is missing. The ladybird in stories five to eight goes by the name Marie at Sterntaler.
